The voice of an intern’s experience in the schools:

“Being in the schools is a very enriching experience that I could not have expected. I say that I could not have expected the feeling I have after beginning my workshops in the schools, because the students surprised me after every visit. I knew that they were talented and diverse young girls, but after meeting them and engaging with them, I know that beyond these qualities, they are multifaceted in ways that they have not even tapped into yet, and are eager to exceed what even they believe they can achieve. As much as I want to get to know them, they want to get to know me and my journey to where I am today, and that passion for learning follows them through the workshops. It is an honor to be able to aid these students in their goals to be the best versions of themselves, and I look forward to establishing more programs in the future school years, especially a book club that a few of them have espoused interest in joining.”
